GYM MAGIC COVID-19 UPDATE MARCH 18 - FULL YEAR PROGRAMS

Gym Magic Families,
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the health and well-being of our participants and staff remain our top priority. We want to make our members aware GYM Magic has been following the Ontario Premier and Gymnastics Ontario directions.
The Gym Magic Facility has been closed since March 16th. All programs at Gym Magic are cancelled March 16th through to April 5th. We will re-evaluate things on April 3rd, 2020.
Thank you to our loyal members for your patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented experience. We wish your families all the best and good health and look forward to seeing you back with our Gym Magic Family in a few weeks.

Gym Magic Families,
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the health and well-being of our participants and staff remain our top priority. We want to make our members aware GYM Magic has been following the Ontario Premier and Gymnastics Ontario directions.
The Gym Magic Facility has been closed since March 16th. All programs at Gym Magic are cancelled March 16th through to April 5th. We will re-evaluate things on April 3rd, 2020.
The winter program was scheduled to run until April 19th.
We will evaluate the possibility of makeup classes for our Winter recreational programs once we have a definite return date.
The Spring session is scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 20, 2020.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have been working to navigate the hourly changes of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Gym Magic's first and foremost priority is to keep our community safe and we are working to stay informed with changes and updates regarding the coronavirus and apply changes as they become necessary to our program.
After reflecting on the information from the Ontario premier today as well as the new update from Gymnastics Ontario, we will be cancelling the rest of our March Break Camps Tuesday March 17th – Friday March 20, 2020. We want to do our part to help in social distancing and reduce the spread of coronavirus. This is a decision we do not take lightly as it will greatly affect our small family business and our staff, however we are committed to the health of our Gym Magic participants and their families.

GYM MAGIC FULL YEAR PROGRAMS CANCELLED MAR 16-MAR 22 2020

HI Gym Magic Families,
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have been working to navigate the day to day changes of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Gym Magic's first and foremost priority is to keep our community safe and we are working to stay informed with changes and updates regarding the coronavirus and apply changes as they become necessary to our program.
After reflecting on the information from health officials we will be pausing our full year programs from March 16, 2020 through March 22, 2020 and updating this as needed. We want to do our part to help in social distancing and reduce the spread of coronavirus. This is a decision we do not take likely as it will greatly affect our small family business and our staff, but we feel we must be diligent and follow suit with the government recommendations.

GYM MAGIC COVID-19 IMPORTANT UPDATE

At Gym Magic, the health and safety of our gymnasts, their families, and our coaches, are of the utmost importance. With growing global concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”), we would like to provide you with an update on our response to date and our commitment moving forward.
At this moment, based on research and response from Halton Region Public Health, Gymnastics Ontario, and the City of Burlington, we are NOT suspending gymnastics training for our recreational and competitive programs and march break camps. Our regular cleaning procedures include the use of hospital-grade cleaning solutions to disinfect our equipment, mats, floors, and surfaces. In addition, we are following enhanced protocols to ensure the health and safety of all of our members.
- Additional focus is being placed on high use surfaces and areas by disinfecting those surfaces, door handles, and railings during class turnovers by staff
- A reminder for all individuals to stay home if they are not feeling well
- Staff are being asked to wash their hands before and after every class
- A reminder to everyone to cover both their nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing; try to cough into your arm, away from others, or into tissue paper (to be disposed into the toilet), then wash your hands immediately afterward
- Reminding all participants not to share water bottles
- Reminding all participants to wash their hands upon arrival to the gym and at the conclusion of their class
- Asking parents to minimize their time in the viewing area and to avoid bringing siblings who are not participating in a gymnastics class to the facility
- Asking participants, coaches, administrative staff, volunteers and supporters to self isolate if they or a member of their immediate family travel anywhere outside of Canada (including the USA) for the immediate near future until these recommendations are relaxed by the Province of Ontario
The risk is still considered to be very low for contracting COVID-19 in Ontario. We know that this a personal decision each family will have to make on what they think is best for their child when choosing to participate in extra-curricular activities at this moment in time, which we completely understand and respect. Gym Magic and the Gymnastics Ontario Board of Directors and staff will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with our members as the need arises so please check your email regularly.
